Job Summary:

Primary function is sending correspondence to health care providers and processing documents into the electronic medical record via Home Care Home Base software system.

 

Requirements

Job Qualifications:

Education: High School Graduate or equivalency (Some college preferred).

Experience: Minimum 1 year general office experience.

Skills: Excellent computer skills required. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Requires knowledge of scanner/fax/copier equipment. Phone etiquette skills required. Ability to take direction with a multitude of tasks, typing ability 40-50 WPM, Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Transportation: Reliable transportation. Valid and current auto liability insurance.

Environmental and Working Conditions:

Performs duties in an office environment. Noise level may be moderate to high. Ability to travel locally and some exposure to inclement weather. Ability to work M-F, 8:00 a.m. – 5 p.m. and flexible to perform occasional overtime when needed.

Physical and Mental Effort:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit for prolonged periods; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds. The employee must have the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner. Requires working under stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs. Ability to problem solve and apply critical thinking skills.
