Under the supervision of the Site Coordinator, responsible for the total classroom operations within Federal Performance Standards and any additional standards referring to educational services, classroom operations, or comprehensive services. Including, but not limited to:
Establish and maintain safe, healthy learning environments; support the social and emotional development of children ages 3-4 years old; and encourage the involvement of the families of the children in the program and support the development of relationships between children and their families.Be familiar with the specific goals in the Head Start Child Development and Early Learning Framework, state Early Learning Guidelines, and Local Education Agency (LEA) expectations and ensure curriculum-targeted skills and knowledge address (align with) established goals.Analyze individual, ongoing, child-level assessment data from a variety of sources for all children participating in the program, and using that data in combination with input from parents and families to determine each child’s status and progress with regard to, at a minimum, language and literacy, cognition, approaches to learning, perceptual, motor, physical development, social and emotional development, and to individualize the experiences, teaching, and services to best support each child.Assess child progress on an ongoing basis and aggregate and analyze data at least three times as designated throughout the year and use that data in combination with other program data to determine progress toward meeting program goals, to inform parents of the results, and to direct continuous improvement related to curriculum, instruction, professional development, program design, and other program decisions.Manage each child’s assessment, weekly lesson plan, and weekly objectives as individualized to meet child’s developmental needs. Must include the child’s parent(s) during the planning process.
This is a school year position and follows Muskogee Public Schools calendar.
